Madlyn is NOW RETIRED!

She was the Director of Advising for Undeclared Students and administers the Faculty Committee on Scholastic Standards.

Madlyn earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Science Education from Colorado State University and a Master of Science in Education/Counseling from Cornell University. Originally from Chicago, she quickly adopted Colorado as her home where she has worked as a high school history teacher and a health education/wellness coordinator. She was an advisor/career counselor in CSU’s Division of Continuing Education before becoming an academic advisor at CASA. Madlyn was awarded the Jack E. Cermak Advising Award in 2004 and remains a Board Certified Counselor. She has enjoyed helping students find their passion, and assisting them to think critically and creatively. Madlyn considers CSU a tremendous place to work, as well as attend college, and enjoys being part of a dynamic, inclusive and student-centered campus.

Outside of work Madlyn enjoys international travel as well as exploring Colorado with her family and friends - hiking, cross-country-skiing, snow-shoeing and cycling.
